Tai Yang Star

Tai Yang is the Sun archetype of Zi Wei Dou Shu: outward-facing, visible, generous, responsible, and oriented toward contribution. In modern life it often resembles the teacher, advocate, spokesperson, public leader, or teammate who gives energy to a wider group. Traditional interpretation places unusual importance on Tai Yang’s strength state and uses the Sun’s path across the day as a metaphor for stronger and weaker expression. Rather than converting those states into guaranteed fame, family outcomes, or marriage predictions, a modern reading asks how easily visibility, confidence, generosity, and public responsibility can be expressed — and how much effort it takes to sustain them.

Warm, open, generous, and justice-minded with a strong sense of duty. Helps others readily. Weaknesses: pride, impatience, giving too much while neglecting self; when fallen, prone to pessimism.

Suited to public service, education, media, diplomacy, and sales — work that "shines." Bright Tai Yang means a brilliant career and public name; fallen Tai Yang means toil and being the power behind the throne.

Tai Yang's money comes through reputation — profit from fame, not hidden deals. Bright and well-aspected, income is substantial and legitimate; fallen, money flows through the fingers. With Lu Cun or Tai Yin, finances improve.
